Chaski's
These are just two of the many Chaski's we saw. According to our tour guide, Edwin, the Chaski's represent the ancient Inka. The youngs boys take the bus with us up to the citadel on Machupicchu. When the buses go down he mountain again, the Chaski's run down the ancient Inka trail symbolizing the the ways of their people. Karina and I decided to go down the mountain ourselves. It was not easy!!! It is amazing to think that these boys run down the trail each day, many times. After they ran down the whole mountain, beating our bus, we gave the Chaski a tip and took many pictures.
